A Vent-Free Burner may be installed in a vented fireplace (with the flue damper blocked open) for use as a decorative appliance. A decorative appliance operates with an on/off switch or remote, and may not operate with a thermostat.

For a VFSUE burner in a vented application, replace the included Thermostat Remote with FRIP remote. See owner's manual for complete instructions.
